After much down time, website issues, etc. we’re back in action. Due to deleting the original team, we were unable to get the team name back, for some reason, so now we’re FAKEB00K (zero’s). We’re already starting off strong, 9-3-1 as a starting record and continuing on. Expect to see more content soon once we get everything rolling again.

Our new defense-man!

We’ve just picked up a new defense-man, surprisingly enough it was from my ‘advertisement’ that was posted here, along with on the Xbox forums. He’s shown to have great skill, and knowledge in his position. He’ll be assisting us with shots from the point, and helping out the goalie.

We’re glad to have you Ledbetter INC, and we hope you come to like this team.

200 goals – An accomplishment

It’s taken a while, but Fakebook has finally gotten 200 goals (200+ actually). We’re proud to have hit a milestone, and we hope to achieve more goals and especially more assists.

So, you’re interested in joining Fakebook? We’re currently looking for a few offense and defense players. We aren’t necessarily looking for completely awesome guys that know exactly how to play and already have their Legends card.

» If you’re interested in joining for the defensive position then we ask that you have some knowledge on how to play your position. We ask that you know how to stay in your position, and to know how and when to swap sides with the other defensemen; meaning you’re left defense and you go over to the right side to get the puck and the other defensemen knows to go to the other side and stay on the opposite side. We also want you to have some knowledge of how to cut off a crease pass attempt, such as hitting the guy in front of the goalie before the puck is passed to him; though we don’t require you to try all the time, as we do have a goalie that can usually stop the attempt regardless of the defensive help.

Our team tends to pass it back to the point, especially when we’re trying to set up a play. Don’t be worried if you screw up the play, or don’t be worried to fire it from the point; everyone screws up, don’t worry about it.

» If you’re interested in joining for the offensive position then we ask that you have some knowledge on how to play your position. As with the defense, we ask that you know how and when to switch sides with the various forwards. We also ask that you don’t become a puck hog – pass the puck. We work as a team, we don’t need someone to be the hero for the team and score all the goals. Our team sets up, so we expect you to not enter the zone and simply go for the wrist shot glitch, then go back down to defend them from scoring – dump it in, and allow the team to set up something… it’s good in the end. We’d also ask that you back check, we don’t like cherry pickers, and the defense can’t do all the work.

We’ll be honest, we don’t expect setting up to work all the time, so don’t be pissed if you see us not setting up every time, and don’t be pissed at yourself if you somehow screw up the play – we all mess up.

Like I said, we’re not really looking for amazing players. As long as we play as a team, we can get the win. If you’re interested in a tryout then message either myself (DDPR), or Hopson (THEHOPSONAT0R — that’s a zero, not an “o”).

The infamous “no-game counting” glitch FIXED?

Well, Mike Hopson decided to attempt to play a game today, and it seems that it did actually register our loss (though, we’d much rather have gotten a win that game). I guess we’re cured from this – we’ll update if anything happens.

It’s official. This glitch has got the better of this team, our player Mike Hopson is having that issue. We’re just going to have to wait until this is resolved. If you’re unaware of the issue, check out this thread. We hope for the best, we miss yah’ Hopson!
